Sometimes I want to quit. Here's what I learned when I'm feeling overwhelmed and want to do nothing.
Feel like throwing in the towel? I hear ya. Let's navigate this together instead...
Hi there,
I'm still here with my weekly newsletters and daily posts -- with a surprising level of consistency, given my history of chasing shiny objects and a low tolerance for repetition.
But let's be real here. This journey is anything but easy. The pressure to continuously produce valuable content, coupled with the demands of running an ecom store...is a recipe for feeling overwhelmed. Do I need to remind you that I still have a full-time job?!
I'm no superhuman. Anything but that.
This is how I picture myself when times get rough and I have so much going on:

There are plenty of moments where I wanted to give up. Especially when everything seems to be going wrong and the to-do list never seemed to end.
The thought of "doing nothing" felt like a sweet escape.
Here's what I learned:
It's OK to feel overwhelmed. It's not a sign of failure - more like a sign that you are pushing your limits and growing.
Not everything is urgent. If everything is urgent, then nothing is urgent. Learn to prioritize and delegate when possible has been a game-changer for me.
There is nothing wrong with doing nothing. It doesn't mean you are lazy. It is a necessary reset. Short, intentional breaks can recharge your batteries and boost your productivity in the long run.
Value my time. I wish I could help everyone but I can't. Enforcing a "sorry and..." has been something I have engrained in my day to day.
Remind myself why I started. And even ask how would my life look like now if I just keep going vs stopping.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and the thought of quitting has crossed your mind, know that you are not alone. The path to achieving anything worthwhile is often full of challenges. This is when you grab the struggle and take it as an opportunity to grow. Take a deep breath. Give yourself some grace. And remember that the fruits of your labor will pay off.
Stay strong and keep pushing.
You got this!
