Ready to ditch the 9-to-5? The future is freelance.
Here’s how to transition from employee to entrepreneur. Or at least do a hybrid.
The future is.
Freelance.
The days of traditional 9-to-5 jobs are fading and more people are ditching the office for the freedom of freelancing.
If you have been thinking about making the leap from employee to entreprenuer, now is the time to start preparing.
But before you jump ship, there are some important steps you need to take to ensure stress and headaches are limited.

Well, first why is freelancing the future?
Gives you control over your schedule, your clients, and your work. No more 9-to-5 grind, no more office politics, and no more being tied down to one employer. You decide when, where, and how you work.
Your income is not capped by a salary. The more clients you take on and the more value you deliver, the more you can earn. Your earning potential is in your hands, not someone else’s.
Opens up a world of opportunities. You can work with clients from different industries, take on a variety of projects, and constantly learn new skills.
Pushes you to develop new skills, manage your time effectively, and take full responsibility for your success.

Don’t just go all in though unless you are that brave.
Make sure you have a financial cushion to fall back on. Freelancing can be unpredictable especially in the beginning. So have enough savings to cover your living expenses for at least a few months.
You can also test the waters and freelance on the side to build up your client base and gain experience.
To be successful at freelancing though, you have to specialize (aka what they call a niche) and create a strong online presence around that.
So much that goes into freelancing - I learned a TON and still learning.
You are essentially running a business so it is not just about the work.
Freelancing isn’t for everyone and that’s OK.
But I do believe the future is freelance for those who want to build wealth faster and not rely on their employer.
Start to prepare now - whether or not you want to do freelancing.
It will pay off even if you stick to working for someone else.
From one full-stack employee to another,
Mary
