Maybe you should follow what this newsletter says??

My morning routine.

Drink AG1 (vitamins, minerals and probiotics in one).

Pace around my home and engage on Social Media.

Eat breakfast.

Brew tea and coffee.

I'm actually surprised that I've been consistent with this since October 2023.

It's not because I am bored and have nothing else to do with my life.

Here's what happened since I started this personal brand journey:

  • Personal conversations with CEOs and Founders

  • Expanded my network beyond the Big 4 and accounting industry

  • Received multiple invites to exclusive events and product trials

  • Formed partnerships with major brands for my store

  • Met incredible people who trusted me to help their careers

  • Attracted many job offers that I didn't even apply to

Why am I telling you this?

Because I want to set you up for success. And I need you to get on it before everyone else does. For all you professionals out there, you HAVE to get on LinkedIn.

90%+ of recruiters use LinkedIn to find candidates. Even if you are not interested in looking for a new job, it doesn't hurt to build your network.

You also do not need to post everyday for LinkedIn to work in your favor.

Here are 5 Simple Steps to Enhance Your LinkedIn Profile - and it takes just 30 minutes!

1/ Customize Your LinkedIn Profile URL

We are not numbers on a spreadsheet. If you haven't done so already, change your URL to reflect your name. Plus it doesn't look nice if you have a bunch of random numbers.

2/ Update Your Profile Picture

Make sure your face is visible. Don't choose a picture from years ago where you are not recognizable. Don't catfish people!

First impressions matter. Smile! 😊

3/ Revamp Your Headline

Don't be like 97% of the working professionals and just put their title and where they work. Write how you help/offer others. What you achieved. And then where you work.

4/ Creative Banner

This is where you would add your personality. Many don't use this feature at all. Share something you are passionate about or use some of your accomplishments as a starting point. Think of the banner as a place to sell yourself. Just like a billboard.

5/ "About" Section

This is not just a work summary. Don't write an essay either.

Keep it simple! Think of this as your elevator pitch but with more room to add details. Use ChatGPT for assistance if you are not sure where to start.

My goal is to get you to click "...see more"

Bonus/ Work Experience

Make sure it is clean and consistent. It does not have to be an exact copy of your resume. This is where you sell yourself. Use keywords that your ideal career would have. Add numbers. Show your impact.

Mix it up between soft skills and technical skills.

Here's Why You Need To Do This NOW:

  • Find and be found by future mentors, employers, communities, and opportunities

  • Separate your identity from the company you work for

  • Your accomplishments exceed the standard one-page resume

  • Sell yourself without the sales part

TLDR: Future-proof your career and update your LinkedIn profile.
